![]() | Tatsuyuki Negoro (Panel Chair) Tatsuyuki NEGORO is Professor of Information Systems & Management of Business School and Chief Director of Research Institute of Information Technology and Management at Waseda University. After graduating Kyoto University, majoring in Sociology, in 1977 he joined a steel company and had been mainly engaged in the production management and the corporate planning division. In 1983, he received an MBA from the Graduate School of Business Administration of Keio University. In 1990, he spent a year as Visiting Researcher at Hull University in the U. K. He is Former Chief-editor of the Journal of the Japan society of Management and Information Science, Editorial Board of the Journal of Systems Research & behavioral Science and is Vice President of CRM Forum JAPAN. His research filed is crossing area of Strategic Management, Information Systems and Systems Methodologies. He has written and edited several books about the area, and published over 100 articles. His latest books (In Japanese) are mixi and 2nd Generation of Internet Business (Toyo Keizai, 2006), Strategy of Substitutes (Toyo Keizai, 2005), Strategic Management in the Digital Age (Mediaselect, 2005), Beyond Customer Relationship Management (PHP, 2002) and Business Strategy and Business Innovation (Asakurashoten, 2001). Hiroshi Deguchi, Ph.D. Systems Sciences Toward the New Liberal Arts for the Global Society of 21st Century Hiroshi Deguchi, Dr. of Science (Tokyo Institute of Technology, 1986), Dr. of Economics (Kyoto University, 2001) Hiroshi Deguchi was born in Tokyo in 1955. He graduated Tokyo Institute of Technology and got the first degree. Department of Economics, Fukushima University (1987-), International University of Japan (1989-), Department of Commercial Science, Chuo University (1995-), Graduate School of Economics, Kyoto University (1997-). From 2001 he is a Professor of Department of Computational Intelligence and Systems Science, Tokyo Institute of Technology. He is the Leader of 21st-Century COE Program “Creation of Agent-Based Social Systems Sciences (ABSSS)” and the Head of the Research Center for Agent-Based Social Systems Sciences, Tokyo Institute of Technology. He also currently serves as a senior visiting scientist, Economic and Social Research Institute, Cabinet Office, Government of Japan for the project of reconstructing SNA (Systems of National Accounts depending on his theory of social complex systems (H. Deguchi, Economics as an Agent-Based Complex System, Springer-Verlag, 2004). His research interest covers the wide area of interdisciplinary and trans-disciplinary fields including mathematics, organizational & management sciences, economics, evolutionary economics, sociology, anthropology, gaming simulation, agent based modeling and philosophy of sciences. He serves as a board member of Japan Association for Evolutionary Economics, The Japan Association for Social and Economic Systems Studies, Pacific-Asian Association for Agent-based Approach in Social Sciences, Japan Association for Philosophy of Science, Japan Association of Simulation and Gaming. He is also an editor of Springer Series on Agent Based Social Systems, Springer-Verlag.
